Once you have configured your Social Engagement Agent, you can continue training ECHO so it sounds even more like you - the more you train it, the more natural and accurate its replies become.
If you haven't set up your AI ECHO-ME Agent Team yet, tapping any agent will prompt you to complete that first. To know the steps, read:
To get to your Social Engagement Agent:
-
From the left panel, tap Social Engagement Agent
-
You can also tap Social Engagement Agent directly from your Home screen and it will take you here.
Start with Manual Mode
When you set up your AI ECHO-ME Agent Team and configure the Social Engagement Agent as part of that process, you'll be asked to choose which mode you want ECHO-ME to activate in. We recommend starting in Manual Mode.
In Manual mode, when someone comments on your Instagram post, ECHO fetches the comment and suggests a reply directly on your dashboard. The reply is not posted on Instagram yet - it's only visible to you. From here you have two options:
- Post Reply - Happy with the reply? Tap Post Reply and it will be posted on Instagram instantly. ECHO will also learn from it and use it to improve future replies.
- Edit and Post - Want to tweak it first? Tap Edit and Post, rewrite the reply the way you want it, then tap Post. It goes live on Instagram and ECHO learns from your edits.
The more you interact with the replies - whether posting, editing, or correcting - the better ECHO gets at sounding like you.
Settings and Controls
From the Social Engagement Agent dashboard, tap the gear icon at the top right to access all your settings.
Manage ECHO-ME Messaging Assistant
Here you will see all your connected accounts listed with two toggles each, one for DMs and one for Comments. This gives you full control over what ECHO does on each account. For example, you might want ECHO to reply to comments on your Instagram but not handle DMs, or you might want it fully active on one account and completely off on another. Toggle each one based on how you want ECHO to operate. When an account is turned off, ECHO will not analyze or reply to anything on that account.
You will also find:
- Sleep Timer - Set your timezone using Autodetect, then enter your sleep time and wake-up time. ECHO will pause during this window and resume when you wake up. When you are asleep, ECHO is asleep too. It will automatically pause during that window and pick back up when you wake up, so replies only go out when you would actually be awake.
- Respond to Emoji Only or Short Comments - Enable this option if you'd like ECHO to also reply to comments that contain only emojis or very short responses. When disabled, ECHO focuses on comments that provide enough context for a meaningful reply.
- Response Rate Limit - This controls how many replies ECHO sends per hour. You can increase or decrease the number based on how active your comments section typically is. If you get a lot of comments and want ECHO to keep up, increase the limit. If you prefer replies to come in at a steadier, more natural pace, keep it lower. We recommend starting at 15 replies/hr - it keeps things consistent without feeling automated. As you get more comfortable with how ECHO performs, you can always go higher.
-
Delay Settings - Choose how fast ECHO replies:
- Fast - Replies within 1 minute to 1 hour
- Medium - Replies within 1 hour to 3 hours
- Slow - Replies within 3 hours to 10 hours
Think about how you naturally engage with your audience and pick accordingly. If you are someone who replies quickly, Fast makes sense. If you are often busy, on stage with your fans, or in situations where an instant reply would feel off, go with Medium or Slow so ECHO replies at a pace that still feels natural.
- Retrain ECHO-ME - If your content style or voice has evolved, tap Retrain ECHO-ME. ECHO will walk through the setup again, pull your latest posts, and rebuild your voice profile from how you actually write now - so it stays current with who you are and how you communicate.
Once you're finished, tap Save.
About You
Tap the gear icon and select About You. This is the same information you filled in when you first set up the AI ECHO-ME Agent Team. You can update it here anytime if something has changed or if you want to give ECHO more context to work with. For instance, if you have moved to a new city, changed your niche, or recently rebranded, update it here so ECHO stays current. Tap Save when done.
Refine Your ECHO-ME Personality Training
Tap the gear icon and select ECHO-ME Personality Training to give ECHO a deeper understanding of who you are and how you communicate. You'll go through three sections - About You, Goals & Persona, and Your Voice - each helping ECHO get more accurate with how it replies, engages, and sells on your behalf. The more detail you provide, the more ECHO sounds like you and not like a bot.

IG/FB DM Request Auto Responder
Tap the gear icon and select IG/FB DM Request Auto Responder to edit the message that gets sent when someone DMs you on Instagram or Facebook. Make sure your Pop.Store link is included in the message. Tap Update when done, and toggle your account to activate it.
You'll also see your connected Instagram and Facebook accounts at the bottom of the screen. Make sure the account you want to use is enabled. When enabled, anyone who sends a DM to that account will automatically receive your customized response.
Reconnect Meta
If you have logged out or need to reconnect your Instagram or Facebook accounts, tap the gear icon and select Reconnect with Meta.

Specific Responses Waiting
Sometimes ECHO will come across a comment it doesn't know how to answer, things like very personal or specific questions such as "How tall are you?" or "Where did you grow up?" These will appear as a banner on your dashboard saying You have specific responses waiting.
It is important to check this regularly. Every unanswered specific question is a missed opportunity for ECHO to learn. The more you resolve these, the fewer gaps ECHO will have, and over time it will be able to handle more and more on its own without needing your input.
Tap the banner to review them. For each one you can:
- Blacklist - ECHO will never respond to this type of comment
- Ignore - Skip it for now
-
Answer it - Type your response and tap Save. This is where the real training happens. ECHO will remember your answer and the next time someone asks the same question, it will reply on its own without needing your input again. The more you answer, the smarter ECHO gets.
Note: ECHO remembers every answer you provide. So the time you put in here directly makes ECHO smarter and more accurate over time.
Pause Replies to Comments
There are moments when you do not want ECHO replying on your behalf, maybe you are at a live event, on stage with fans in the audience, or in a situation where you want full control over what goes out. In those cases, you can pause ECHO instantly without turning it off completely.
From the dashboard, tap the Pause button. A window will appear asking how long you want to pause. You can choose from 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, or 24 hours. If none of those work, tap Custom and enter your own duration. Once you tap Pause, ECHO will stop replying immediately and resume automatically once the time is up.
Moving to Auto Mode
Once you are comfortable with how ECHO is performing in Manual mode, you can switch to Auto. Tap the Enable Auto Mode dropdown in the top-left corner of the dashboard and select Auto.
In Auto mode, ECHO will automatically reply to comments without waiting for your approval. You will still see the scheduled replies on your dashboard before they go out, so you always know what ECHO is sending. If a reply feels right, select Sounds Like Me. If it doesn't match your style, select Not Quite and provide the response you would have written instead. You can also choose not to respond to certain comments.
Every piece of feedback helps ECHO better understand your voice, making future replies more accurate and more aligned with how you naturally engage with your audience.
