How to Configure Comment-to-DM Agent on POP.STORE ๐Ÿš€

Every time someone comments on your post, there's an opportunity - a follower who's interested, ready to engage, and potentially ready to buy. The Comment-to-DM Agent makes sure you never miss it. The moment someone comments your keyword, ECHO-ME automatically replies to their comment and sends them a personalized DM with whatever you want to share - a product, a link, a guide, a booking - instantly and in your voice.

Before you start: If you haven't set up your AI ECHO-ME Agent Team yet, tapping on the Comment-to-DM Agent will prompt you to complete that setup first. As part of that process, your Instagram and Facebook accounts will be connected as well. Read: How to Set Up AI ECHO-ME Agent Team. Once done, come back here to start configuring the Comment-to-DM Agent.

How to Find the Comment-to-DM Agent

There are two ways to get there:

  1. From the left panel, tap Comment-to-DM Agent.

  2. Or from the Home screen, tap Comment-to-DM Agent and it will take you there directly.

  3. Tap + Create Flow to get started. You'll see six steps to set up your flow, with a live Instagram DM Preview on the right that updates as you build so you can see exactly what your followers will receive.
  4. Step 1: Where Should It Run? - Choose which posts this flow will be active on:
    • Any Post - The keyword works across all your posts and reels - making this an evergreen flow that runs continuously across everything you publish. When you select this, you'll also see your previously used keywords displayed so you don't accidentally reuse one that's already connected to another flow.
    • A Specific Post/Story - ECHO fetches all your existing posts and stories. Tap the one you want to attach this flow to.
    • My Next Post/Story - The flow activates on the next piece of content you publish.

  5. Step 2: Set Your Trigger Keyword - Add the keywords you want followers to comment to trigger the DM. Type your keyword and press Enter or add a comma after each one to add it. You can add up to 3 keywords per flow - one word each, letters and numbers only, max 15 characters. Make sure you add these keywords to your post caption so followers know what to comment.

  6. Step 3: Set the DM Destination - Choose where followers will land when they tap the button in their DM. You'll see two options:

    • Link/Video/Affiliate - Use this for anything outside of POP.STORE, including brand sites, LTK, ShopMy, Amazon affiliate links, blog posts, Substack, Linktree, Your YouTube Video, or any other public URL. Paste your link into the Destination URL field.
    • POP.STORE Item - Use this to link directly to a product, course, video, calendar booking, or post already on your POP.STORE. Select your item and ECHO will pull in the details automatically.

As you set your destination, the Instagram DM Preview on the right updates live showing you exactly how the DM card will look when a follower receives it. You can also manage the preview image directly - tap the image icon to upload a different image, tap the resize icon to crop or resize it, or tap the delete icon to remove it entirely.

  7. Step 4: Write Your DM - Add your DM Message - this is what your followers will receive when they comment your keyword. If you want ECHO to go further and send a fully personalized message based on each follower's rank and engagement history, toggle on Let ECHO-ME Personalize DMs. When enabled, ECHO tailors the message to each specific follower rather than sending the same base message to everyone.

    Below the message field:

    • CTA Button Text - The action button that appears on the DM card. By default it says "Learn More" but you can change it to whatever fits your offer.
    • Show Price in the DM - Tick this and enter a price to display it on the DM card. Once enabled, you can also tick Apply a Discount, add a discount price, and it will appear as a badge on the DM card that followers receive.

  8. Step 5: Write Your Comment Responses - This is what ECHO publicly replies to in the comments section when someone comments your keyword. You have two options:
    • Let ECHO-ME respond to comments - Toggle this on and ECHO will automatically reply to each matching comment in your voice, personalized to each follower.

    • Add responses manually - Write your own comment replies in the response fields. Tap + Add More to add additional response variations. ECHO will rotate between them so replies don't all look the same.

Once you've written your responses, tick Add these responses to library to save them for future use. You can either add them to an existing library or tap + Create New to give them a new library name. From your next flow onwards, you can tap Choose Library, select your saved set, and your responses will be populated automatically - no need to write them again.

  9. Step 6: Name Your Comment-to-DM - Give your flow a name so you can find and manage it easily. When you tap the name field, it will automatically populate with your keyword names and the current date and time - for example "Link,Buy,Price ยท Jul 6, 3:25 PM". You can keep this or rename it to something more descriptive like "Summer Sale" or "New Drop DM".

  10. Follow-up DM (optional) - Toggle on Follow-up DM if you want to send a second message to followers who reply to your first DM. This follow-up only goes out to people who are already interested enough to respond - so it always lands with a warm audience. Write your follow-up message in the field provided.

  11. Once everything is set, tap Save Flow. Your flow will be published and start running immediately.

Understanding Your Dashboard

Once you land on the dashboard, you'll see your Comment-to-DM Flows - every flow you're running across your posts. At the top you'll see three key numbers:

  • Comments Received - Total comments received across all your active flows
  • Comments Responded - How many of those comments ECHO replied to
  • DMs Sent - Total DMs sent to interested followers

You can filter flows by All or Instagram, and switch between connected accounts using the Select Account/Page dropdown on the right. Each flow card shows the flow name, its keywords, when it was created, and its individual stats. Tap the three-dot icon on any flow to edit, pause, or delete it.

Tracking Your Flow Performance

Tap Analytics on any flow to see a detailed performance breakdown. You can filter by Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, or set a Custom date range. You'll see five metrics:

  • Comments Received - Total comments that triggered the flow
  • Comments Responded - How many ECHO replied to in the comments
  • DMs Sent - Total DMs sent to interested followers
  • DM Clicks - How many followers tapped the link in their DM
  • Purchases Made - How many followers completed a purchase

Scroll down to Per-Post Insights to see how the flow is performing on each individual post it's attached to.
