How to Configure the New AI-Powered Comment-to-DM Agent on POP.STORE 🚀

If you have been using comment automation tools like Manychat and POP.STORE's Comment-to-DM, you already know how powerful it is. But setting it up manually, writing the message, adding the keywords, and configuring it post by post, takes time and effort.

The new AI-powered Comment-to-DM Agent removes all of that friction. This is the AI Mode. Unlike the Legacy mode where you set up flows manually for each post, AI Mode works differently. You create your offer once and every time you post, ECHO-ME detects it in your caption and handles everything automatically from there. Every time you post, it reads your caption, detects your offer, and automatically replies to comments and sends personalized DMs to every interested follower instantly. No manual keyword setup. No writing individual messages. No configuring flows post by post. Set it up once. Post as you normally would. ECHO-ME handles everything from there.

Before you start: If you haven't set up your ECHO-ME Agent Team yet, tapping on the Comment-to-DM Agent will prompt you to complete that setup first. Read: How to Set Up AI ECHO-ME Agent Team. Once done, come back here to start configuring the Comment-to-DM Agent.

How to Find the Comment-to-DM Agent

There are two ways to get there:

  1. From the left panel, expand ECHO-ME AI Agent Team, then tap Comment-to-DM Agent. 

     

  2. Or from the Home screen, tap Home to make sure you are on Home Screen and then tap Comment-to-DM Agent and it will take you there directly. 

  3. Once you tap the agent, you will be prompted to connect your Meta accounts. You can choose to connect Instagram only, or connect with Facebook. Tap the relevant option and complete the login and permissions. Once connected, tap Continue to proceed. 

     

    Note: If you choose to connect Instagram only, you will need to repeat the process each time you want to add another Instagram account. If you connect both Facebook and Instagram, all Meta accounts linked to your email will be connected automatically and you will not need to set it up again.

How ECHO-ME Works

Once your meta accounts are connected, ECHO-ME will walk you through how it works. In AI Mode, Comment-to-DM works in four steps. You handle two, ECHO handles two:

  1. You create offers - An "offer" here does not only have to mean something you are selling. It is simply what you want to send your followers when they comment - this could be a product, a free guide, a recipe, a link to your website, a discount, a booking link, or anything else you want to share. If you have a destination and a message, you can create an offer for it.
  2. You mention them in captions - Each offer can be used across unlimited posts, reels, or stories. Just include the offer name and a trigger keyword in your caption.
  3. ECHO reads your post and builds a flow - The moment you post, ECHO scans your caption, finds the offer name and trigger keyword, matches it to your offer library, and creates an AI Auto-flow that watches comments on that specific post.
  4. You track everything live - Every Auto-flow shows up on the AI Auto-flows tab with real-time data on comments responded to and DMs sent.

Once your account is connected, you'll be taken to the Create Your First Offer screen.

Setting Up an Offer

In AI Mode, everything starts with an offer. When you tap Create Your First Offer, you will land on the Set Up an Offer screen. Start by adding your Offer Name - this is how you will refer to the offer in your post caption. For example, if you are promoting a neighborhood guide, your offer name could be "Santa Monica Guide" and your caption would read something like "Comment GUIDE to get my Santa Monica Guide sent straight to your DMs.

 

Next, choose where you want followers to land when they tap the button in their DM. You'll see two options:

  1. Link/Video/Affiliate - Use this option for anything outside of POP.STORE, including - brand sites, RewardStyle, ShopMy, Amazon affiliate links, blog posts, Substack, YouTube videos, Vimeo links, TikTok Videos, Any other public URL you want to share 

    • Paste your link into the Destination URL field. ECHO-ME will automatically generate a preview that appears on the right side of the screen, showing you exactly how the DM will look when a follower receives it. If the preview image isn't pulled in automatically, or you'd prefer to use a different image, tap the image icon in the DM preview to upload your own.

       

    • If the link is part of a sponsored campaign or affiliate partnership, enable Paid Partnership or Affiliate Link. POP.STORE will automatically include the appropriate disclosures, such as #ad or #partner, in your suggested caption to help you stay FTC compliant. 

  2. POP.STORE Item - Use this tab to link directly to a product already on your POP.STORE. 
    • From the POP.STORE Item dropdown, select your product type - Digital Product, Affiliate Product, Video Series, Course, or Calendar Booking. Once you select it, tap Confirm Selection and ECHO will automatically pull in the product image and details.

       

  3. Write Your DM - Add your DM Message - this is what your followers will receive when they comment. ECHO will personalize this message for every follower before sending it, so each DM feels individual rather than mass-sent.

    Below the message, you will see the CTA Button Text field. This is the action button that appears on the DM card. By default it says "Learn More" but you can change it to whatever fits your offer.

  4. Scroll down for a few more options:
    • Show Price - Tick this and enter a price to display it on the DM card.
    • Apply a Discount - Tick this to apply a discount to your offer. Enter the discount as a percentage and it will appear as a badge on the DM card that followers receive. 

Once everything looks good, tap Save and Post Offer. Your offer will be saved and ready to post.

After Saving Your Offer

  • Once you tap Save and Post Offer, a new screen will appear with a caption generated automatically for you. The caption already includes your offer name and placeholders for a trigger keyword and any additional text you'd like to add. Add the trigger keyword with the word or phrase you want followers to comment, and customize the caption as needed. Then, tap Copy Caption to copy it.

    Once copied, tap either Instagram or Facebook to open the platform where you'd like to publish your content. Create your post or reel, paste the generated caption, and publish it as you normally would.

  • As soon as the post goes live, ECHO-ME will detect the offer name and trigger keyword in the caption and automatically begin replying to comments and sending personalized DMs to interested followers. 
  • ECHO also uses AI intent matching, so even if someone does not type the exact keyword but their comment shows genuine interest, they will still get a reply and a personalized DM automatically.
  • If you are not ready to post yet, tap Save offer. Your offer will stay live and ready. Once you publish a post that includes the offer name in the caption, ECHO will detect it automatically and start running the Comment-to-DM flow for that post.

     

    Note: If you change the keyword, make sure you also update your caption with the new keyword so people start commenting with the correct keyword and the flow works properly.

The Comment-to-DM Agent Dashboard

Once your offer is set up, you will land on the main Comment-to-DM Agent dashboard. Your AI Mode dashboard gives you a real-time view of everything ECHO-ME is doing on your behalf. At the top you will see three tabs.

  1. Offer Posts - This is where you can see all the posts where ECHO detected one of your offers in the caption and is actively running the Comment-to-DM flow. At the top you will see three key numbers:
    • Comments Received - Total comments across all your connected posts
    • Comments Responded - How many of those comments ECHO replied to
    • DMs Sent - Total DMs sent to interested followers
      You can filter by All, Instagram, Facebook, or Priority, and switch between connected accounts using the dropdown on the right. Tap + New Offer/DM Link from here to add another offer anytime. 

  2. Offers - This tab shows all your created offers. Each offer card shows the offer name, type, and the date it was created. Tap the three-dot menu on any offer to edit or deactivate it. Tap Post Offer on any offer to post that offer on Instagram or Facebook.

     

  3. Personalized DMs - If you have not set up Personalized DMs yet, this is where you do it. This is what makes ECHO sound like you when it replies to comments and sends DMs. The setup is split into three steps: About You, Goals and Persona, and Your Voice.
    • About You - Start by selecting how ECHO should speak on your behalf - either as you personally using "I, my, me" or as your team using "we, our, us." Then add where you or your team are based, as this helps ECHO give culturally relevant responses. Add the languages you or your team speak fluently so ECHO can respond in those languages when it detects comments or DMs in them. 

      Next, describe yourself to your audience. This is the same information you would have filled in when setting up AI ECHO-ME Agent Team. If you have already done that, it will be pre-filled here. You can add more detail if you want ECHO to represent you more accurately. Below that, describe your follower demographic - who follows you and why. Be specific, as this helps ECHO calibrate its tone and context for every interaction. Tap Continue when done.

       

    • Goals and Persona - Next, define who you are to your followers. Select the option that best describes your relationship with your audience:
      A Guide, Teacher, or Coach - Your followers come to you to learn
      A Real Estate Agent - You are a trusted local expert
      A Spiritual Leader - You inspire on a deeper level
      An Idol They Want to Emulate - They admire your lifestyle and success
      A Person They Desire - They are drawn to your presence and persona 

       Then select how you interact with your followers - whether that is Professional and Informational, Elevated and Almost Psychic, Warm and Friendly, or Flirty to Drive Engagement. Finally, describe your primary goal and what you are trying to achieve with your followers. Be direct about your monetization model so ECHO can steer conversations toward the right outcome. Tap Continue when done.

       

    • Your Voice - This is the most important step. The more detail you give here, the more authentically ECHO sounds like you. 
      How you address your followers - Add the pet names or terms you use, like "besties," "babe," or "fam." This is how ECHO will greet your people.
      Emoji usage - Choose how heavily you use emojis: Heavy, Moderate, Minimal, or None. ECHO will match your emoji energy.
      Restricted emojis - Add any emojis you never want ECHO to use. These will be blocked from all comments and DMs sent on your behalf.
      Reply length - Choose whether your typical replies are Short and Punchy (1-2 sentences), Conversational (2-4 sentences), or Detailed.
      How you handle negativity - Choose how ECHO should respond to negative comments or haters: Ignore Completely, Kill Them with Kindness, Clap Back with Humor, or Address Directly and Seriously.
      Catchphrases or signature phrases - Add the words and phrases that are uniquely yours. These are your voice fingerprint and ECHO will weave them in naturally.
      Humor style - Select your humor style: Sarcastic/Dry, Playful and Silly, Witty One-liners, or I Keep it Serious Mostly.
      Capitalization and punctuation style - Choose how you write: Proper Grammar Always, all lowercase vibes, I USE CAPS FOR EMPHASIS, or Mix of Everything.
      Paste 3-5 real comments or DMs you have sent - This is the single most valuable input. Real examples of how you actually talk are worth more than every selection above combined. Paste 3 to 5 messages you have sent to followers and ECHO will learn your actual voice directly from them. 

       Once everything is filled in, tap Activate My Personalized Voice and ECHO will start responding in your tone from that point forward.

Adding More Offers

From anywhere on the dashboard, tap + New Offer/DM Link to create another offer. Follow the same steps above to set up your destination link, write your DM message, and configure your settings. Once everything looks good, tap Save and Use Offer.

Accessing Your Legacy Flows

If you were previously using Legacy mode, your old flows are completely safe and still running. Tap Legacy at the top right of the screen to go back to your older flow dashboard. All your past post-specific, story-specific, and keyword-specific flows are still there and still running. To return to the new AI mode at any time, tap Switch to AI Mode from the Legacy screen.
