This article covers the Legacy Mode setup flow, where you manually configure trigger keywords, comment replies, DM offers, and follow-up messages step by step.
Before you start: If you haven't set up your ECHO-ME Agent Team yet, complete that first. Once done, you can start configuring Comment to DM Agent.

How to Find Your Legacy Flow
If you have been creating your Comment to DM automations using Legacy Mode, you can access them from the AI ECHO-ME Agent Team section.
From the left panel, tap AI ECHO-ME Agent Team. Then, in the Comment to DM Agent section, tap Manage Agent. From the top menu, tap Legacy to view and manage all your Legacy Mode flows.

Step-by-step Guide
When you set up ECHO-ME Agent Team, your Meta accounts are already connected. Now it's time to create your Comment to DM flow. There are two ways to find the Comment to DM Agent:
- From the left panel, tap Home to make sure you're on the Home screen. From here, tap Comment to DM Agent

Or from the left panel, tap AI ECHO-ME Agent Team
- From either option, you'll land in the AI ECHO-ME Agent Team section. From there, in the Comment to DM Agent section, tap Manage Agent. Once you tap Manage Agent, you'll first land on the new AI-powered setup experience. To go back to your existing Legacy Mode flows, tap Legacy from the top menu.
- Tap + Create to create a new flow for your comment automation.

Select your Instagram or Facebook account.
- Choose where this automation should apply:
Keyword - Applies to all your posts and stories automatically. This is best for ongoing (evergreen) automation where any matching comment triggers a DM.
Existing - Applies to a specific post or story. You can select one particular post/reel/story or choose All to apply it to your current content.
Next - Applies only to your next post or story. This is useful when you're planning a new post and want automation ready in advance. -
Enter a Flow Name.

Add Trigger Keywords
Legacy Mode starts by defining the keywords that will trigger your automation.
Tap Select New Keyword.
Enter keywords users might comment (e.g., link, price, buy).
Use commas to add multiple keywords (up to 3). -
Set Up Auto Replies in Comments
In Legacy Mode, you can either manually write replies or let ECHO-ME generate them for you.
Tap Automated Comment Responses
Once you toggle this, if you haven't set up ECHO yet, you'll be redirected to complete the setup. The setup is quick and only takes a few minutes. During this, ECHO learns your tone, style, and how you typically respond so it can reply in your voice. Once enabled, ECHO will automatically reply to comments in your style.
You can either toggle this to let ECHO-ME reply automatically or add your own responses manually. -
Add Your Responses.
Add your comment replies (e.g., "Check your DM!", "Sent you the details!").
Tap + Add More to include more responses.
Tick Add these responses to library if you want to reuse them later.
Select an existing library or tap + Create New to save them.
If you create a new one, enter a library name and tap Save to Library.

Set Up DM Flow
In Legacy Mode, you manually select the offer, write the DM message, and configure follow-up actions.
Tap DM to Send. From the dropdown, select an existing offer. If you haven't created one yet, tap + Create new offer. -
Create Offer
Tap Choose product and select what you want to send:
Video Series, Affiliate Product, Digital Product, Course, Calendar Booking, etc.If you want to redirect users outside your store, select External Link and add your URL
If the product image is not fetched automatically, upload it manually
Once selected, tap Confirm selection
Add your Offer Title
For instance - "Get 50% Off My Fitness Plan," "Exclusive Access Just for You"Add your Offer Message
For instance - "Hey! I've shared something special with you - check it out 👇"
You can tap Write with ECHO to auto-generate the messageOnce everything looks good, Tap Create Offer

Once your offer is added, toggle ECHO-ME will send personalized DMs with your offer. If ECHO is not set up yet, you'll be redirected to complete the setup

Follow-up DM
Legacy Mode also allows you to create delayed follow-up messages for continued engagement.
Toggle Follow-up DM if you want to send a reminder message
You can enable ECHO-ME personalized replies for follow-ups. Once you toggle this, you will again be redirected to set up ECHO-ME if you haven't set it up yet
Set the delay time using the + / – buttons (e.g., send after 4 hours) - Once everything looks good, tap Publish. Your Comment automation is now live. When someone comments using your keywords, they'll automatically receive a reply and a DM.
Track Your Performance & Insights 📊
Once your Legacy Mode automation is live, you can track its performance directly from the dashboard. Go back to the Comment to DM dashboard to track performance.
- From Select Account/Page, choose your Instagram or Facebook account to view insights
- View key metrics like comments responded, DMs sent, and DMs clicked

Use filters like All, Post Specific, Story Specific, or Keyword Specific to analyze different flows
That's it. Your Legacy Mode Comment to DM automation is now fully configured and ready to engage your audience automatically.
