Add External Products to Your Store

You're already driving your audience to external products – whether it's your own merch on another site, affiliate deals, or your website. But why settle for a boring link? Pop.Store's External Product feature lets you create custom Product Detail Pages (PDPs) within your store. Think of it as giving your external products a VIP showcase, complete with eye-catching images and compelling descriptions, all seamlessly integrated into your My Store tab.

Whether you’re dropshipping, featuring affiliate products, or linking to your own e-commerce site, external products let you promote anything in your brand ecosystem.

How Adding External Products Can Benefit Your Store

  • Promote products from other platforms while keeping everything under one storefront.
  • Drive traffic to your own website or third-party listings (like Amazon, Etsy, or your own merch page).
  • Expand your offerings beyond digital and catalog-based products.

Pro Tip: External products are ideal if you want to showcase and sell items without managing inventory. Perfect for affiliate links, brand partnerships, or linking to your personal storefront elsewhere.

Adding External Products to Your Store

Before you begin, make sure you’re in Edit Mode. If not, go to your Bio section and select Edit at the top right corner.

  1. Select +Add Content at the bottom of your profile.
  2. Choose External Product from the menu.
  3. Upload Product Images: Showcase the product clearly.
  4. Enter Product Name: This is the name customers will see.
  5. Set Price in USD: Make sure to convert the value before entering.
  6. Add a Discount Price (Optional): Show a markdown to boost appeal.
  7. Upload a Brand Image: Recommended size is 200 x 200 px.
  8. Enter Brand Name: Your brand or the brand you’re selling under.
  9. Add a Product Description: Write a short pitch to sell the value.
  10. Paste the External Product PDP Link: This is where the purchase happens.
  11. Select Create External Product: You’re almost done!

Add It to Your Storefront

To display your external product in the My Store tab, you’ll need to place it inside a product collection. Collections help organize your storefront, giving your followers a clear and easy way to browse and shop.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. From your Bio section, make sure you're in Edit Mode.
  2. Tap +Add Content and select Product Collection.
  3. Give your collection a name that reflects the product group—like “My Essentials”, “Summer Picks”, or even the name of your existing online store if you’re connecting your audience to external listings.
  4. Under Collection Type, choose Pick and Choose.
  5. Select +Select Products, then choose the external product you just added.
  6. Tap Done, then hit Create Collection.

Your external product will now appear in your My Store tab—ready for browsing.

Managing Your External Product

Your external product is live—but you can always make changes or remove it from your store.

To Edit an external product: Head to the My Store tab in your Control Panel and click on the product you'd like to update. You can tweak the name, price, description, images, or link.

To remove or delete a product:

  • Remove from Storefront: Hover over the product, click the three-dot icon, and select Remove from Storefront. This hides it from your public store but keeps it in your dashboard for future use.
  • Delete Completely: From the same menu, select Delete to remove the product entirely from your account.

Note: Since external products redirect buyers to another site, Pop.Store doesn’t track inventory, orders, or reviews for them.
